Fictional Narrative
"Where's Baby?"
asked Tom, the man in the cowboy hat said to the chickens as he walked into the chicken coop.
The geese replied "She's sitting on eggs near our side of the coop."
Baby is a turkey and is now sitting on five eggs.
Tom found her sitting on the eggs in the corner of the chicken coop.
He asked her "What are you doing?" she replied "I am sitting on five eggs."
Tom said "Eggs! Five eggs!
That's going to be a lot of work, good luck!" Baby replied "Thank you, I'll need it."
Baby moved around a bit to get more comfortable on top of the eggs. |
 |
|
A few days after Tom found out about the eggs, he started to get worried about Baby, because he hadn't seen her get up to eat or drink.
Tom brought some water to Baby while the other birds brought her food.
The ducks brought her an apple core and two chickens brought her a banana peel.
The egg stealers, two rough chickens, came by one day and asked "How are the eggs doing?" Baby replied, "Just fine if you must know," as she moved her body to cover every egg from the egg stealers.

Baby and all the other birds had their suspicions about the stealers, and didn't trust them with any eggs.
Almost everyone knew about the egg stealers.
Even Tom did, but he didn't want to kill them.
Baby knew that it was better to be nice to them otherwise her eggs could be in trouble. |

One day when Tom came into the chicken coop, he heard "peep peep peep peep" coming were Baby was sitting.
Tom thought there must be some baby turkeys hatched but to his surprise there were two ducklings sitting with Baby.
Tom asked Baby "Did you know what type of eggs you were sitting on?"
Baby replied "It didn't matter, I thought they needed a chance to hatch." |
 |
After the eggs hatched, Baby got up and started moving once again.
She was so glad to finally go outside the coop.
That night Tom was thinking about what he should name the ducklings.
When he went out to the coop the next morning he noticed one of the baby ducks had died so he cleared it away. |
 |
Tom still hadn't come up with a name for the remaining duck.
Then he saw the duckling hop through the fences and follow his mom, Baby around.
At that moment Tom came up with the perfect name for the duckling.
Tom named him Turducken.
Little Turducken was the newest member in the coop and all the other birds looked after him as a part of the family. |
